Reps Rob Ecklund, Julie Sandstede, and Dave Lislgard are helping their Mpls DFL masters choke mining. Friends of the Boundary Waters and MCEA control the environmental agenda of the Mpls DFL agenda and everybody knows it. They write the legislation, they write the regulations for the MPCA and DNR, they approve Walz agency hires, they fund the DFL campaigns, and they even have new offices in Duluth to be close enough to go harder, faster, and finish the job.

Reps Ecklund, Sanstede, and Lislegard do what, while the Mpls DFL, the environmentalists, and Walz gut the future of mining and manufacturing in Minnesota?
Nothing.

When the Mpls DFL passed a party moratorium on new mining?
Nothing.

When Walz’s MPCA asked Biden and the EPA for mercury regs on Iron Mines?
Nothing.

When Mpls DFL introduced an impossible “prove it first” mining permit system?
Nothing.

When the Mpls DFL carbon-free plan will close the only reliable power source on the Range?
Nothing.

When the DNR screwed up all the Polymet permits “by accident”?
Nothing.

When Biden appointed 100% anti-mining people to run Dept of Interior?
Nothing.

When Mpls DFL ppl in DC ask the Forest Service to cut Iron Mines off from land w/more ore?
Nothing.

When Walz asked for electric cars or a 20 cent gas tax on ppl that drive 30 minutes one way to start a mine shift? Or a carbon-free electric plan that doubles their utility bills?
Nothing.

If mining is shrinking and dying the Mpls and Duluth DFL control everything north of Moose Lake. The biggest special interest on the Iron Range becomes GOVERNMENT. DFL GOVERNMENT.

Everybody knows what’s happening. Mpls DFL type people and their enviromentalist friends have done this before. They did it with glee. THEY BRAGGED ABOUT IT. Swap iron or copper for coal and you know exactly where they are going.

After the Mpls DFL gives us the same pain they brought to places like rural West Virginia, Eastern Kentucky, or SE Ohio and the jobs go away, unemployment skyrockets, families move away, high school seniors leave to never come back, the towns shrink, and the drug epidemic rages, what then? How many towns and futures will be saved by “border to border broadband”? Are thousands of metro computer consultants going to move to Little Fork, Willow, Buhl, Chisholm, or Biwabik to work remotely and replace millions in mining income and spin off business? Nobody is stupid enough to call that a real economic plan. Its not even a good lie.

No. The Mpls DFL will come in and “fix” their wreckage with MORE GOVERNMENT, MORE WELFARE, MORE SOCIAL WORKERS, MORE PROMISES, AND MORE LIES, and pretend they are the compassionate heros.

Walz and the Mpls DFL told miners, loggers, excavators, ranchers, meat packers, farmers, diesel mechanics, steelworkers, 49’ers, linesman, and everybody working small business or manufacturing in a Greater MN town, or living at the end of a gravel driveway, exactly what they thought of us. “Mostly rocks and cows”.

We see you Rep’s Ecklund, Sandstede, and Lislegard. You aren’t fooling anybody. We know who your masters are. Your real masters are pretty sick of it. You will be hearing from us, the Rocks and Cows, pretty soon.

Rocks & Cows built Minnesota, and we aren’t going anywhere! Since Minnesota became a state in 1858 we have been growing it, building it, feeding it, digging it up, milling it, or cutting it down and that isn’t changing without a fight! Let people know it!
