Dictator Walz shut us down for COVID excuses a second time, just before Thanksgiving. He claimed it was to preserve hospital beds for COVID and reduce the infection rate. Turns out the COVID rate was already decreasing (like all our neighboring states with far fewer restrictions) and he closed a 90 bed COVID hospital to kick off the shutdown. Maybe he thought we wouldn’t notice he was full of it? That the restaurants and bars were never more than 2% of the traced cases, and they only found that 2% because nobody else logs in customers by state order? That he needed an excuse to keep the dictator powers rolling ?
The women of Minnesota noticed. Women owners of restaurants and bars and hotels and art studios and fitness centers across the state decided they weren’t going bankrupt because Governor Asst Football Coach needed to gin up some COVID fear to keep his unconstitutional one man sideshow going. On December 16th (and a few just before) from East Grand Forks, the Iron Range, Lake Country, down thru the metro, and all across the southern part of the state border to border from Winona to Marshall, they all called bullshit and opened up despite his shutdown orders .
Walz promptly went about sending AG Keith Ellison and MNHealth’s Jan Malcolm out to punish anybody defiant of his royal dictates. The first day of the Ellison purge he served MNHealth violation lawsuit papers on Larvita at Haven’s Garden, Jane of Boardwalk Bar and Grill, and Stacy at The Iron Waffle.. It was his initial purge to try and instill fear in the business owners by showing he would even level the boom on women if that’s what it took to create fear and compliance to the illegal shutdown orders. It didn’t work. They got hit hardest for speaking out loud, and they are still speaking out LOUD.
More women opened their doors and many decided to stand and fight. At least 2 dozen others were to follow with their turn at a Keith Ellison lawsuit full of Jan Malcolm violations wrapped in red bows at Christmas in the 3 weeks since. Amongst the new group were special targets Lisa Zarza at Alibi Drinkery in Lakeville and Lisa Hansen of Interchange Bistro in Albert Lea. IF YOU’RE STARTING TO GET THE IDEA KEITH AND JAN MIGHT NOT LIKE STRONG WOMEN ALOT YOU PROBABLY AREN’T ALONE.
Stacy at The Iron Waffle is a very young lady with a 12 seat coffee shop just down the street from Paul Gazelka’s home. She was attacked all summer by the mask police, the metro Karens vacationing in Lake Country, and finally was sued by Keith Ellison. STACY IS MAD AS HELL AND ISNT GOING TO TAKE IT ANYMORE. Stacy’s business partner told me like anyone, she worried, but almost happy that she gets a chance to sue Walz and Ellison. Suing not to get their stupid licenses back, but TO GET OUR STATE BACK FROM ILLEGAL DICATOR RULE. Her lawyer has been instructed to sue the unconstitutional declaration, continuation, legislation by fiat, unequal implementation, and arbitrary application, THEN fight the stupid mask order and process which kicked this off. STACY IS TAKING THIS CHANCE TO MAKE THE LAWSUIT THE MNGOP PARTY AND REPUBLICAN SENATE CAUCUS SHOULD HAVE FILED IN APRIL.

Unless you have been under a rock you know Larvita McFarquhar of Haven’s Garden small town cafe in Lynd has already been sued by AG Ellison and found in violation to be fined $250 per day of operation, yet she remains open. Larvita was served with more papers wrapped in a red bow over Christmas and the latest threats include upping the fine, illegally stealing her legal fund, and the threat of work camp or jail. A single mom of 4 with a small town restaurant and dance studio is willing to stand toe to toe with the Governor and Keith Ellison, BUT OUR TEAM IS A LITTLE TIMID TO PULL THE TRIGGER AND FIRE JAN MALCOLM? Maybe Larvita could send one of her children to give them a little courage.

The most bold and outraged of the bunch has to be Lisa Hansen at Interchange Bistro in Albert Lea. Lisa decided shortly after the second shutdown was announced that she just couldn’t make it financially AND IF SHE IS GOING OUT SHE IS TAKING THE UNCONSTITUTIONAL POWERS OF KING WALZ WITH HER. Lisa opened her doors for indoor dining and for that was also given the Christmas present of a Jan Malcolm and Keith Ellison lawsuit. Lisa believes a fight for the US Constitution and freedom is worth it so she rallied her community, took a constitutional stand and invited everybody to come a join her in a protest in Albert Lea.
